Clinton-Massie High School

Cindy Running has been the Athletic Director at Clinton Massie High School since 2014. Prior to that she taught at West Solomon School District in Lenora, Kansas, at Minot Public Schools in Minot, North Dakota, and as a Job Specialist for Jobs for Ohio’s Graduates.  She also served as the Program Manager for JOG for four years before coming to Clinton Massie as a teacher in 1999.  In addition, Cindy served as an adjunct professor for Wilmington College from 2005-2014.

 

Cindy graduated from Carrington High School in Carrington, North Dakota where she competed in basketball and track.  She has coached scholastic basketball, track, swimming, and wrestling.  She also assisted in the start-up of the Clinton Massie Youth Wrestling program and served as the director for a number of years.  She has coached youth soccer and wrestling.

 

Cindy holds a bachelor’s degree in biology education from Valley City State University and a Master’s in Education Administration from Xavier University.  She was designated an Ohio Master Teacher from 2009-2013 and received National Board Certification (NBPTS) from 2003-2013.  She was a finalist for the Ohio Presidential Awards for Excellence in Math and Science Teaching in 2003.

 

Cindy and her husband Randy have three grown children: Spencer, Corby and Wyatt Running, who were all athletes in the Clinton Massie District.  They live near Wilmington.
